
University Computing Services is evaluating potential compatibility issues with Access applications using earlier versions of Access and Microsoft's latest release, Access 2007.
Before upgrading to Access 2007 read Converting to Access 2007 to determine if any applications are at risk, and then proceed with the upgrade if the risk is negligible, or UCS has provided fixes for the specific issues.
UCS recommends all departments with known issues to install Access 2007 on a single machine and test the application, after the fixes have been put in place. Once tested and determined to be working properly, other machines in the department can be upgraded.
UCS will provide employees help with risk assessment if needed.
