Research Fellows are awarded academic-year funding through their home departments to enable their release from other academic obligations or as a supplement to their academic year salaries.  This program attempts to lay the foundation for nontraditional colleague participation through a cross-disciplinary fellowship and critique while shaping individual research activity and fostering faculty/student mentoring.  Proposed research must have a demonstrable energy emphasis, component, relationship, or effect.
Eligibility: Full-time, regular faculty.
Submission: One- to two page single-spaced description of the research/activity/focus and the anticipated benefit gained by conducting this work in an interdisciplinary context.  Targeted external funding sources for soliciting support beyond the academic year should be identified, and a current vita should be included.
