Academic Assessment GrantsThe Office of Academic Assessment and Institutional Research have established various strategies designed to encourage faculty participation in assessment activities. Summer grants are awarded to full-time faculty interested in pursuing departmental assessment projects that support the University Strategic Plan. Stipends range from $500 to $1,000. Some funding is also available for special projects that support departmental assessment goals.

George and Frances Ball Foundation Fund for Academic ExcellenceThe George and Frances Ball Foundation Fund for Academic Excellence and the 21st Century Fund for Faculty Development are endowments that provide funds for departmental and collegiate awards for creative and innovative projects designed to strengthen the university's academic programs and to provide faculty development support. Programs supporting the strategic plan will be the focus of this year's grants. Submissions are by departments and colleges. Contact the department chairperson with ideas for projects.

International Programs Endowment FundThis fund provides grants to departments and/or colleges that propose to internationalize their curricula through the creation of overseas study programs (including preliminary site visits), international enhancement of on-campus course content, design of electronically delivered courses or modules for overseas consumption, recruitment of international students, promotion of international internships, and improving faculty competence in foreign language.

International Faculty Development FundThis fund has money available to faculty who are engaged in activities they and their Chairs deem instrumental in developing their careers towards internationalism and can show that the project will encourage recruitment of international students and study abroad for domestic students. Only one request per faculty member per year. The maximum that can be requested is $1,000.
