Research Design and Analysis

The Research Design and Analysis staff work with faculty on both individual and funded research projects, as well as with graduate students on their masters theses, dissertations, or other research projects. Consultation is provided in the following areas:

Research design
Instrumentation/survey construction
Techniques of data collection and entry
Statistical analysis and interpretation.

The staff can also provide assistance with data analysis and statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, and AMOS. You can contact a consultant directly for these services or through the more general number (765-285-8111) for University Computing Services.

In addition to data analysis assistance, the consultants can assist with the design of surveys and questionnaires, especially those for which responses will be coded on optical scanning sheets. They can also help develop a data-coding scheme (codebook).

For interested individuals, UCS has a site license for the SPSS, SAS, and AMOS programs. Ms. Pam Wills (765-285-1508) coordinates the acquisition and distribution of these programs. For SAS questions, please contact Dr. Lecointe.
