J. MAX GOSMAN is a junior from Floyds Knobs, Indiana, studying Theatrical Production with an emphasis on directing. His work on The Circus in Winter project was preceded by assistant directing Risk Everything, from George F. Walker's Suburban Motel; Love Takes Time: The Music of Porter and Sondheim; as well as directing They Fell from John Cariani's Almost Maine. In the next year, Max will direct the collegiate premiere of Alice Austen's play, The Destruction of Curves, and assistant direct Charles Mee's Big Love. As a dramaturg, Max presented his research on BSU's production of Little Women the Musical at KCACTF 2010, and received the Student Dramaturgy for Outreach and Publications award for his program note for that same production. Excited to continue work on the Circus project, Max would like to thank the entire VBC class, the staff, and all his colleagues and friends for their love and support.
