Video Information System (VIS) is a fiber optic media distribution network reaching over 175+ e-classrooms that have full integration of computer and Internet capabilities. Another 225 rooms have various e-classroom characteristics that range from cable-TV to VIS to ceiling mounted projectors for laptop connectivity. Almost all classrooms have been equipped with an Ethernet jack to allow infrastructure connectivity with a laptop.

Media Formats:
VIS is capable of delivering virtually every type of media to your classroom, including videotape, DVD, CD audio, still video, 16mm film, 35mm slides, 8 and 12 laserdisc, audio cassette, broadcast and cable television, and satellite teleconferences.

Educational Resources:
A large selection of titles can be found at Educational Resources in Bracken Library. We will be happy to book the material for you, pick it up, and return it to Educational Resources.  VIS can also book media that you bring in yourself.

Classroom shoot:
The Teleplex provides single and multi-camera documentation of events, class lectures, guest speakers, and interviews. Contact Alan Gordon at 285-2983 to schedule your next video shoot.
