1. Conference calls are calls made between multiple parties using a phone built for calling out on multiple lines.

Con-fer-ence Bridge: (kónferenss brij):
noun
1. A conference bridge connects multiple callers together and monitors the conference call session. It is used to electronically balance the lines so that each caller can hear and speak to other callers regardless of how many people join or leave the call.

There Are Multiple Ways To Perform Conference Calls On Campus
Digital Desk Set

Conference Phone

Digital Desk Set: Using one of these phones allows you to establish a six party conference call (you and 5 other people). The participants can be on campus, off campus, or a combination of both.  Click here for more information.

"Check out" a Polycom Conference Station from Telephone Services: Telephone Services offers the use of a Polycom Conference Station to any department on campus free of charge.  This type of instrument offers better performance for calls held in meeting rooms with several people in attendance. Click here for information.

Meet-Me Conference Bridge:  This free service connects up to 6 callers together and may be scheduled through Telephone Services.   To learn more about Meet-Me Conferencing click here.

IHETS Conference Bridge: This conference bridge is scheduled through IHETS (Indiana Higher Education Telecommunications System) at no cost. The IHETS conference bridge can support up to 48 participants on a single call.
