Change the length of time to publish your calendar?Outlook publishes your calendar on the server for a specified amount of time into the future. The default setting is 2 months. To help schedule meetings, most people want from 6 to12 months of their free/busy time to be published.
Note: It is recommended for your everyone in your department to set their calendars to the same amount of time for ease of scheduling meeting and appointments.
Change the amount of time to publish your calendar:
- Open Outlook (not available in Webmail)
- Select Tools from the menu
- Select Options (last choice in the drop down menu)
- Select the Preferences tab
- Select Calendar Options
- Select Free/Busy Options which is located towards the bottom of the calendar dialog box
- Enter the number of months desired
- Click OK
- Click OK
- Click OK to close the options dialog box
Now your calendar will be available for a free/busy search for the number of months into the future that you have established.
