Bracken Libraries Technology Training Support Services is now offering a new on-line learning community through MindLeaders. This service is available to all Ball State faculty, staff and students who would like to have access to more than 50 on-line software tutorials. Submitt a request for a MindLeaders Account by completing the form. An email will be sent to you with your new account information.
STUDENTS: Do you need to know Microsoft Excel for your accounting class? How about Adobe Flash for that Journalism class? Well, you can wait until you can enroll in a class. But why wait? Get a headstart in mastering software applications that may be required for your class. MindLeaders on-line learning is the REAL answer for you. This FREE, 24/7, on-line learning community is now available for you. Ball State University and MindLeaders have teamed up to provide Microsoft and Adobe software training for the Ball State University community. Just follow the directions below to request an account then jump into on-line learning.
FACULTY MEMBERS: MindLeaders gives you an opportunity to utilize class time for course content instead of teaching the technology tools necessary to effectively utilize software applications! How you ask? Just send your students to MindLeaders to learn the software skills necessary to be successful in your class. That way you can devote class time to the course content. Yasemin Tunc, Director of Technology Training can assist you by providing accounts for your students. Just contact Technology Training Support Services at 285-5902 or ytunc@bsu.edu to set up a specialized program for your students.
Of course, this program is also available for you, to sharpen your skills and learn new ways to utilize the technology in your courses and in your office. The two big software companies, Adobe and Microsoft are well represented in the MindLeaders courses. Follow the instructions below to get an account and see for yourself how easy and enjoyable software learning can be.
STAFF MEMBERS: How many times did you think to yourself, "I'm sure there is an easier way to do this with (fill in the name of software here)" You can find all types of answers to questions through MindLeaders. Software titles include Access, Excel and Word 2003 and 2007. Maybe your goal is to learn new software. Look for titles such as; Photoshop, PowerPoint and Outlook. There are many more titles available in MindLeaders. This program is free and available 24/7 to everyone at BSU either from your office or home (provided you have an Internet connection.) Request an account and check it out.
