Office 2008 for Macintosh Now Available

Office 2008 for the Macintosh
Microsoft has released Office Suite 2008 for the Macintosh and Ball State University has the software available for all Ball State faculty, staff, and students as a free download or as a purchase from the University Computing Services Showcase Center in the Robert Bell Building.  Why upgrade to this newer version of Office?  You will find many new features, a more graphical interface AND with Office 2008 you can open Office 2007 documents (.docx) that were created on a PC.

Ball State has a Microsoft Campus Agreement, which provides Microsoft software at a low cost or as a free download.  Under this agreement, Ball State students have the opportunity to install and use the Microsoft applications on their personal computer.  Faculty and Staff also have the opportunity to install and use these applications on a computer that is used for Ball State University purposes only.

Either stop by the Computer Showcase Center, bring your credit card or Cardinal Cash and your student ID card and purchase the software, or visit the Ball State Microsoft Campus Agreement download web site to download the new Office 2008 for your Macintosh.

Check the system requirements BEFORE you download and install Office 2008 on your Macintosh.

Visit Microsoft's web site for Macintosh users to check compatibility information.  If you need assistance with determining if Office 2008 will work on your Macintosh, make a reservation with University Computing Services Tech Time service.
