| | Cathy J. Siebert is an Assistant Professor in Curriculum, Instruction and Secondary Education (with a cognate in English Education) with the Department of Educational Studies at Ball State University. Over the past eighteen years, she has mentored countless preservice and inservice teachers. As a research assistant at Michigan State University, she collaborated with the nationally acclaimed Holt High School Professional Development School initiative. Since arriving at BSU in 1999, she has served as the Professional Development School liaison for Anderson and Highland high schools, one of the oldest and most successful PDSs in the BSU network. Collaborating so closely with pre- and in-service teachers, Cathy is deeply committed to efforts to help support and retain teachers throughout their professional careers.

Sheryl Proctor supervises student teachers for the Office of Teacher Education Services at Ball State University. For nineteen years, she has mentored student teachers throughout schools across Indiana. In addition to this work, she has conducted inservice training for teachers in Indiana and the Midwest in the areas of writing, authentic assessments, community building in classrooms and cooperative learning. She also serves on the presentation team sharing the collaborative model for supervision of student teachers. She is committed to assisting experienced classroom teachers in developing strong mentoring skills for our beginning teachers.
