On May 2, 2009, Teachers College recognized retiring faculty and staff along with outstanding faculty for contributions in teaching, research, and service at the annual End-of-the-Year Celebration.

The outstanding awards were presented to nominated tenure-track or full-time contract faculty members. Award winners possess an outstanding curriculum vita and/or have made an unusually significant impact on their students, field, college and/or university, or the community-at-large.

Dean Roy Weaver hosted his last End-Of-The Year Celebration event. After a 26-year career in the Office of the Dean, 10 years as associate dean and 16 years as dean, Dr. Weaver will be stepping down. A reception will be held in his honor on June 24, 4-6 p.m., at the Art Museum. Save the date and join us in celebrating his tenure in leading the Teachers College to its current status as one of the largest producers of teachers and school professionals in the Midwest.
