Director for the Office of Charter Schools

POSITION RESPONSIBILITY:
Directs the operations of the university's state-wide charter school sponsorship program.  Manages the Office of Charter Schools on-site and field staff. 

BACKGROUND:
Dr. Gabbert holds a Doctorate of Education from the State University of New York at Albany.  His professional experience encompasses design and supervision of K-12 and higher education student assessments.  Dr. Gabbert held leadership positions at the Delaware Department of Education where he also supervised student assessment programs.  He later led the Department's charter school initiative.  In 2006 Dr. Gabbert joined Ball State University as the university's Director of the Office of Charter Schools.
