The 4-year Physical Science Program prepares candidates to teach high school chemistry and high school physics; the 4 1/2-year Physical Science Program prepares the candidates to also teach middle school physical science. The 4-year and 4 1/2-year programs require a minimum of 128 and 146 credit hours, respectively, and they are located in the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
