First connect the video cable to your Mac with the same adaptor you use for the data projectors. Connect the black sound cord to your sound out (headphone) port. If you wish to use the Internet through Ethernet, also connect the Ethernet cable.

Using the plasma screen to display a computer screen is simple. Locate the touch-screen control box, and touch the screen to turn it on. You can choose input from the computer or another video source. You can control volume and mute either the screen or sound with the touch controls. However, be sure that the volume is up on your computer first. The system should immediately recognize your computer as the source for display.

If it doesn't, you may need to change settings in your Displays system preference. To do this, open System Preferences (Apple menu) and click on Displays. First, choose Detect Displays. This forces your computer to look for other available displays. When only one display is available, Displays shows only two tabs: Display and Color. But, when the added display is detected, Displays shows three tabs: Display, Arrangement, and Color.

Click on the Arrangement button and check the Mirror Displays box at the bottom. Mirror Displays means that both monitors will display the same images.

On the Display tab, choose 1024 X 768, 60 Hz resolution.

When you are finished, just touch Shut Down on the touch-screen control box. Disconnect the cables. You may need to go back into the Displays preferences to set the resolution to your previous setting.
