School Partners
Ball State has strong, established relationships with the four school partners. The schools—Muncie Central High SchoolMuncie Southside High SchoolAnderson High SchoolHighland High School (Anderson)—are part of Ball State's Professional Development Schools Network.

As PDS sites, the schools are committed to teacher preparation, staff development, research, and student learning, qualities that will enhance the educational experiences of Ball State's Woodrow Wilson Fellows. Ball State faculty liaisons spend significant amounts of time interacting with students and teachers at the schools.

The teachers in the core math and science areas at the partner schools are skilled and knowledgeable. The majority have more than five years experience in the content area and current licensure. Fellows can learn from the teachers' experiences as they discuss ideas and educational concepts with someone who knows what it's like to be in the classroom.

School Demographics
Ball State's partner schools are in mid-sized cities—Muncie and Anderson—with student populations and demographics that are similar to many schools in Indiana and the Midwest. You'll develop a broad array of skills, including working with high-needs student populations, that will translate to schools in other mid-sized cities as well as to schools in large urban centers and rural areas.
