Lyell Bussell Memorial Fund
Summer Research

Up to ten (10) Summer Research Assistants in the amount of $1,500 are available each summer.  Funds will be disbursed as $750 in the beginning of first summer session and $750 in the beginning of second summer session.  Recipients must be engaged in research activities in collaboration with a faculty member, who must support the student's application in writing.  The student is supporting a faculty member and the research being done by the faculty member.  A faculty member may support only one research assistant during the summer.  The student must be registered for three credit hours during first summer session and three credit hours during second summer session OR six credit hours during summer semester covered by the assistantship.  IT IS EXPECTED THAT THE RESEARCH PROJECT PURSUED AS PART OF THE LYELL BUSSELL SUMMER RESEARCH ASSISTANT WILL BE SUBMITTED FOR PUBLICATION IN AN APPROPRIATE PROFESSIONAL OUTLET.

1. Lyell Bussell Application for Summer Research form (please type) that is located on the right side of the website or click here.  Please make sure you have the address listed where you would like the refund check to be sent. 
2. A brief abstract of research.
