Summer Workshops
Admissions
Students who plan to enroll in a workshop for university credit need to be admitted to the university prior to enrolling.

Undergraduate Admissions
For on-campus courses or programs:
If you are or will be a graduate of an accredited high school or have earned a General Educational Diploma* (GED), you may apply for admission to Ball State University. You may apply online or request a paper application. For more information, visit http://www.bsu.edu/admissions/

For off-campus distance education courses or programs: Students may apply online at https://www.bsu.edu/webapps2/extedstudent/app/. The undergraduate application fee is $25. Official transcripts from previous institutions and high school (or GED scores) are required. Have transcripts mailed to the attention of Linda Parker at Ball State University, School of Extended Education, Muncie, IN 47306 (unless directed otherwise).  Guest student status is also available.

If you have never been admitted to the university or have not attended in more than two semesters, you will need to complete an off-campus admission application. Admission through the School of Extended Education is not admission to the main campus. Students who have already earned a bachelor's degree and do not plan on pursuing a second undergraduate degree must complete a graduate admission application.

Graduate Admissions (for both on-campus and off-campus programs)
If you are a degree-seeking student, you must make application for admission to the university via the Graduate School and the academic department offering your degree.  Acceptance into the academic department is a separate process from admission to the university and can take several weeks to complete. Non-degree or licensure status (in contrast to degree-seeking status) is also available. To obtain a graduate application, call the Graduate School at 1-800-382-8540 or visit their Web site at www.bsu.edu/gradschool/admissions.   The graduate application fee is $25 for those who have earned a degree from BSU and $35 for those who have not earned a degree from BSU.  Official transcripts are also required. Have transcripts mailed to Ball State University, Graduate School, Muncie, IN 47306.

International Admissions (for both on-campus and off-campus programs)
The Office of International Admission assists all international students in gaining admission to Ball State University. Visit http://www.bsu.edu/internationaladmit/ for application materials and additional information.
