Scope: Ball State will be one of five universities in the nation that will host a Summer Insurance Education Institute, which is being supported through a grant from the Insurance Education Foundation (IEF). The grant will allow up to 35 high school teachers to attend the institute and will pay for their graduate tuition, books, and housing. To be eligible, applicants must be teaching a course leading to a high school diploma that contains insurance education. Teachers, grades 6-12, in the following and related disciplines are encouraged to apply: business, mathematics, economics, drivers education, and family and consumer sciences. Participants must also be admitted to the Graduate School. Students may register for either EDGEN 500 or RMI 597. Two course options are offered in case students prefer to earn credit from Teachers College (EDGEN 500, Ref. No. 24127) or the Miller College of Business (RMI 597, Ref. No. 24118).
