First and for most...be careful! Don't expect anything, be on your gaurd at all times. especially girls...European (and I most include Australians) guys are much more forward than US guys. Yes, it is a different culture, but it was definitely more than I had anticipated. Just be careful who you trust and take everything they say with five or six grains of salt.
London is extremely expensive...you won't realize the magnitude til u actually get there. Places like McDonalds and Burger King are ripoffs because if you convert the currency you are spending nearly $10 for a Big Mac. For me, I stuck to pub food and Subway and also lots of grocercies. Budgens and sainsburys were probably the best in my opinion.
The school was well...an experience. The kids there are very well I guess you could say "ghetto". They were younger than all of us and very urban. But all in all the teachers were very nice and helpful and the classes were fun. I don't know where u will staying but there is a shortcut to the school through Paddington station if u can find it. oh and apparently in England it is very disrespectful to wear your hood indoors and especially at the school.
Another important thing is you don't need to take the tube everywhere. if you feel like walking do it. Oxford circus is a less than 10 minute walk. And South Kensington is right through Hyde Park. Most things from Paddington station are walking distance and London is beautiful by night.
Oh one more thing...try and visit Scotland. We took an amazing tour through the Highlands and I would def. recommend it.
