Before leaving Muncie to the London Centre, students who have paid their $500 deposit must attend two pre-departure meetings, which provide information from representatives of Ball State offices that are relevant to the program, such as Financial Aid, Bursars, Registrar, and travel agents.
Former students will also be on hand to advise on classes, travel, and how to deal with money, communications, clothing, safety issues, and expected behavior in cross-cultural situations. Families of students are encouraged to attend these meetings.
Notification of the date, time and place of these meeting will be sent to each student and his/her family.
In addition, all students must obtain a passport, International Student Identification Card (ISIC), health examinations, and account at the BSFCU before departure.
