Purchase of an International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is required for students participating in Ball State University Study Abroad Programs - effective December 1, 1998.

All U.S. issued ISIC also include:

  • 24-hour legal assistance
  • 24-hour travel assistance

The ISIC insurance coverage is outlined below:

  • $300,000 - Emergency Evacuation
  • $25,000 - Repatriation of Remains
  • $5,000 - Accidental Death and Dismemberment
  • $25,000 - Accident Medical Expense (includes $500 emergency dental coverage)
  • $1,000 - Accidental Death and Dismemberment (non-air)
  • $500 - Travel Document replacement (including passports & ISIC)
  • $165 - per day Sickness & Hospital (up to 61 days)
  • $100 - Baggage Delay
  • $100 - Travel Delay
