Some of you may need to take prescription medicines. If this is so, please work with your family physician to arrange for three months' worth of medicine. You should also make sure you have the name by which your medicine is known in England, in case you would have to deal with local pharmacies. Your doctor might have to do some research on this matter.
Your physician also needs to write a letter explaining your need for the prescription medicine. This letter might have to be presented to customs officials upon entering the countries you will be visiting.
NOTE: You will have to pay medical costs up front and then work with your health insurance company for reimbursement.
If you do not have health insurance, student plans are available through the university. Information on cost and coverage is available online at: www.collegiateriskmanagement.com/students/bsu/bsu.html
