London Centre core courses

Art History (AHS 100/301)
AHS 100 open to 15 students; AHS 301 open to 5 students
This course introduces art as a social product from a global and historical perspective. Students will be offered a wide array of field experiences to various art museums in London. Written assignments relative to these site visits will constitute the requirements for this course.
British Life and Culture (HIST 476/ANTH 360/ANTH 111) -- REQUIRED
Team taught by British faculty, this is a required class. It is offered in order to give students a better understanding of the socio-cultural differences that exist between England and the United States. Attendance on the Wednesday trips out of London is a requirement of this course.
British Literature 1780 - Present (ENG 280)
Instructor TBA. Emphases will be placed on the historical, social, and philosophical milieu of selected period pieces.
Theatre (THEAT 100)
Taught by a British faculty, this course introduces students to an understanding of the many facets of dramatic creativity. This course is taught in a theatre setting, but does not require the student to perform.
The above four courses are taught by British faculty. In addition to these four courses, students may choose from two courses taught by Ball State's on-site director, independent studies and/or one online class.
