What is Orientation and why is it mandatory?
Orientation is a program all freshmen must attend prior to enrolling in classes at Ball State University. The two-day Freshman Orientation program runs June through July for fall admits. There is a program in December for spring admits and there is a program in April for summer admits.

Orientation is an excellent opportunity for you to begin your academic career at Ball State. You will become familiar with the university catalog, the schedule of courses, and other important resources. Orientation is also an opportunity to build relationships with orientation leaders, other new students, and various faculty and administrators.
