Ball State University adopted the COMPASS system by ACT, Inc. for purposes of math placement testing.  COMPASS is a highly sophisticated computer adaptive testing system which assesses the students aptitude and recommends placement into specific BSU math courses.

WHEN:  Math placement exams are administered on a daily basis in the Office of Testing Programs.  This excludes summer orientation groups which are tested in larger facilities on campus during specified times.

REGISTRATION:  It is highly recommended that you contact us at (765) 285-1290 to schedule an appointment.  Walk-ins will be accommodated only as our schedule permits.

RETEST POLICY:  Students are limited to ONE retest.
