Professional Interests and Supervision Model
Virginia Commonwealth University (Counseling Psychology) (2002). Licensed Psychologist, HSPP, Assistant Director/Training

Professional Interests: Coordinator MA Training, Career Counseling and development, Women's issues, LBGT issues, Supervision and training, Culturally aware assessment.

Supervision Model: In supervision, I draw from a developmental model and from feminist and interpersonal theory. Initially, we discuss your experiences in and expectations for supervision as well as your strengths and growth edges. I view the supervisory relationship as vitally important, so our relationship and joint responsibilities will be processed throughout the semester. I strive to create a safe, empowering and gently challenging environment in which supervisees feel supported in using their strengths, attending to their growth edges and taking risks. Likewise, I assist supervisees in being aware of their own impact on clients and vice versa. I see this process progressing from teaching/mentoring to more collaborative/collegial. Also discussed are professional identity and career issues.
