Professional Interests and Supervision Model
Ball State University (Counseling Psychology) (1980). Licensed Psychologist, HSPP; Director Counseling and Health Services.

Professional Interests: Individual and group psychotherapy; Treatment of trauma --sexual assault, sexual and physical abuse survivors; Sexual assault prevention; Multicultural and/or diversity issues and programming; Women's issues.

Supervision Model: My approach to supervision incorporates aspects of social learning theory, developmental/dynamic psychology, and feminist approaches to therapy. Supervision initially focuses on the assessment of counseling skills, the formulation of goals, and the strategies for meeting these goals. An assessment of background or historical data in the development of intrapersonal conflict is also deemed important and may be the focus of supervision as related to work with clients. Supervision is viewed as a collaborative endeavor with emphasis on the impact of oppression, cultural and gender sensitivity.
