Career Exploration at a Job Fair

Looking for the right career? Not sure how to explore your options? Here are some basic tips to keep in mind if you are exploring careers at a job fair:

Dress professionally if you want employers to take you seriously.
Speak with as many representatives as possible. Employers are also seeking to speak with as many students as possible. Plan to have short conversations at a job fair.
Collect company literature and business cards so you can follow-up later. Don't approach tables for the "free stuff" they are distributing.
Ask questions about career opportunities, particularly skills and courses required for positions that interest you.
Ask employers about internship opportunities.
Record your findings and observations from the career fair in a notebook or a journal.
