Business Fellows Guidelines for Writing Project Proposal
Please submit a two- to three-page narrative summary of your Business Fellows project idea to Kelli Huth, project manager.

Your proposal should include the following:

  • Key players

Identify faculty mentor(s), business/community partner, and number/types of students who could be involved with your project

  • Problem or purpose statement

  • Major goals and objectives of the project including desired outcomes

Address benefits to the organization partner, professional development of students, and increased employment opportunities in the state of Indiana.

  • Project plan and timeline

Include project deliverables for the business/community partner in this section. Address any intellectual property that would be created as a result of the project if applicable. Include major project milestones in a timeline format and indicate whether the project would last one or two semesters.

  • Assessment plan

  • Preliminary budget

Include estimates of travel expenses and supplies and expenses related to your project. Indicate support provided by the business partner and any other sources of funding for the project.
