Posting Vacancies

The Ball State University Career Center provides opportunities for employers to post part-time, seasonal, internship, and full-time positions online using Cardinal Career Link, our premiere job-posting and interview management Web site. In partnership with NACElink, the National Association of Colleges and Employers' nationwide college recruiting system, Ball State offers you this convenient way to communicate employment opportunities to Ball State students and alumni and to manage on-campus interviewing visits. You can choose to create an employer account and post your own jobs, or we can do it for you. You can post job vacancies on Cardinal Career Link free of charge. You can post vacancies to the more than six hundred colleges and universities in the NACElink network for a nominal fee. Full-Time Vacancies

We post full-time vacancies for both graduating seniors and experienced alumni. Use Cardinal Career Link to post your position or fax your posting to us at (765) 285-3757. Our staff will contact you at a later date to obtain the names of those you have hired.

Part-time and Seasonal Vacancies

We post part-time vacancies for students wanting to work while attending the university. We also post seasonal vacancies for holiday breaks and summer. Internship Vacancies

While providing students with meaningful career-related experiences, your organization can meet its long-range recruiting needs by evaluating potential future employees on the job. The Career Center coordinates paid internships for all students regardless of academic major. We can also assist your organization in developing an internship program.

We will also send a copy of your internship vacancy notices to appropriate academic departments for posting and class announcements. Our staff will contact you at a later date to obtain the names of those you have hired.

Posting Guidelines

The Career Center reserves the right to accept or deny postings based on the following criteria.

All jobs posted on Cardinal Career Link must pay at least minimum wage ($5.15/hour). Compensation packages may include housing and living expenses to meet minimum wage requirement.
Part-time student positions or internships that are commission-only or require the purchase of a sales kit or other equipment as a condition of employment will not be posted.
Personal service positions--e.g., nannies, housekeepers, lawn care jobs--offered by individuals will not be posted even if the position pays minimum wage and requires a degree.
Positions for third-party recruiters, multi-level marketing firms, and staffing firms will not be posted unless those hired will be working for the staffing organization or the staffing organization is willing to post the job under the employing organization's name.
