Our philosophy is simple. With a high commitment to customer satisfaction, Teachers College and the Career Center at Ball State prepare the best possible teachers to meet the needs of educational employers. The Career Center offers opportunities for teacher candidates to learn about job-market data, practice interviewing, develop professional employment portfolios, and receive training in the realities of conducting a professional job search. Because this commitment has remained intact for more than seventy-five years, Ball State University is recognized and respected as a leader in teacher training in the nation.
Ball State offers three opportunities for teacher recruitment:
Teacher Fair, April 30-May 1, 2008--This one-and-a-half-day program allows you to meet, collect résumés from, and interview some of the five hundred teacher candidates in attendance.
Cardinal Career Link--Log in to Cardinal Career Link to post your vacancies. If you prefer, you can call us with your job vacancies or fax them to us. We will post them on our Web site. Candidates will be able to view your vacancies and apply directly to you.
On-Campus Recruiting--Schedule a visit to our campus to conduct interviews with candidates. A typical day consists of twelve thirty-minute interviews. The Career Center will publicize your visit through our campus computer network, collect résumés, and coordinate scheduling.
