Apparel Design
Apparel design majors study the design and pre-production of items for apparel-related industries.  Students of apparel design learn how to use technology to plan and develop designs and prepare promotional presentations.  Apparel design majors are prepared for positions in the fashion global marketplace as designers, illustrators, pattern makers, textile designers, apparel manufacturers' managers, retail custom clothiers, and other related positions in the fashion industry. The following occupations represent some career opportunities available to apparel design majors.  Some will require additional education.  For more information visit the Career and Experiential Learning Lab in Lucina 235.
