The purpose of this project was to assist two small independently owned fashion boutiques, Jules' Boutique in Goshen and Broad Ripple Fashionista in their growth and survival in today's retail environment. The project included analysis of functional inventory systems; promotional programs featuring trunk shows, fashion shows, and special events; and media communication. The results included plans and support that enhance the future productivity for both businesses.
Action
The group researched local demographics and shopping trends. As a result of the research, they created a comprehensive marketing plan and investigated inventory systems that would help boost sales for each shop.
Results
- Promotion and assistance for the grand opening for Broad Ripple Fashionista resulted in increased sales.
- Analysis and documentation of marketing plan including inventory systems and future promotions.
- Publicity for upcoming trunk show for Broad Ripple Fashionista.
- Fashion show for Jules' Boutique raised money for charity.
