Gardens for Health and Healing
Purpose
To provide two Indiana hospitals with assistance in envisioning the integration of therapeutic gardens on their grounds.

Action
The student team researched and developed therapeutic garden design ideas for two Indiana hospitals.  This process included investigating medical services at these hospitals, visits to the hospital campuses, interviews with medical personnel, establishing the link between indoor and outdoor settings to achieve therapeutic goals, and the development of design ideas.

  • Literature review
  • Design concepts and process presented on graphic boards
  • Binders summarizing findings
  • CDs containing graphic boards, binder information, and literature review
