Hoosier Gym Marketing Plan
Purpose
The purpose of this project to help the Hoosier Gym strengthen it marketing.  More specifically, the goal was to research, develop, and create a marketing plan for the gym, and then implement a limited number of marketing activities based on the marketing plan. This activity will assist the gym in expanding its role in the local community, the region, and nationwide.

Action
The student team used secondary sources, interviews with the gym board, and surveys of gym users to gather the information for the marketing plan.  The plan and specific suggestions for marketing activities were presented to the board.  Students then implemented the marketing activities selected by the board.

Results
The board selected four activities, which the team has implemented this spring: a membership program; three specific promotional improvements: outdoor signage, viral marketing online, and brochure location at tourist rest stops; corporate client recruitment and the creation of materials to use in the future; and preliminary planning for an additional gym basketball event.  The gym also now has an extensive marketing plan to help guide future marketing activity.
