Identifying Employers
Identify employers who hire people with your skills. Set up informational interviews to learn about employment opportunities and career potential.

Set a time frame for your job search. Generally, a search for full-time employment will take anywhere from six months to a year. Relocating across country may take longer.

Develop a strategy based upon the type of employment you're seeking, the geographic locations you prefer, and any family or personal constraints you have.

Contact the Alumni Office about assistance from a career mentor affiliated with the Career Alumni Network. These people can offer information and advice about their own career fields or areas of the country.
