Master of Arts in Education in Special Education

Students with undergraduate degrees in elementary or secondary education usually pursue the master of arts in education (MAE) in special education program.

The program includes the following specializations:

deaf education
mild interventions
severe/intense interventions
early childhood special education
general special education
visual impairment (pending)

In addition, the department has a graduate concentration in emotional/behavioral disorders.
