Poverty Simulations Events
6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
StudentCenter Ballroom
Ball State University's Department of Social Work and TEAMwork for Quality Living are working together to again offer a series of poverty simulations to the University and Muncie community. The poverty simulations take participants through a role play experience where they become a member of a family attempting to survive a month living in poverty.
Hundreds of individuals participated in this powerful and provocative experience during the 2006-07 academic year and requests for additional simulations have continued to be made. Two simulations are planned for the fall, 2007 semester (September 26th & October 24th) and two for the spring, 2008 semester (TBA). These simulations are open to students, faculty, community members, and the staff of local human service agencies. For more information and to register contact Judy Gray, Department of Social Work at 765 285-1016.
