Welcome to the Department of Social Work at Ball State University.  The social work major is part of the College of Sciences and Humanities.  The undergraduate degree, known as the BSW, prepares graduates for beginning level social work practice and for graduate study.

Since 1974 the BSW program at Ball State University has been continuously accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.  The BSW degree is the premier degree for those wishing to pursue a career in the social or human services.  It is the only degree that prepares graduates for licensing in the state of Indiana.
