MUNCIE, Ind. - A Carmel couple has endowed a scholarship at Ball State University to honor their son now working California.

The Eric Poppleton and Poppleton Family Arts Scholarship will provide financial assistance to students majoring in art with an emphasis in photography.

The scholarship was created by Robert and Bucky Poppleton to honor their son, Eric, who received his bachelor's degree in management and a master's in photography from Ball State.

He then graduated from the California Institute of the Arts in 1984 and began working at Walt Disney Imagineering. Poppleton has started EPOP, Inc., a commercial digital photography studio in Los Angeles.
