Helen I. Stephenson, a secretary for Leadership and Service Learning received the A. Jane Morton Award at the Staff Recognition and Retirement Awards Program.
The A. Jane Morton Award is a memorial to a former staff personnel employee in the Office of Academic Research and Sponsored Programs. It is given annually to a staff personnel employee in recognition of outstanding service.
Dan Stallings, director of Leadership and Service Learning, nominated Stephenson, citing her outstanding leadership in student life, campus-community relations and student leadership development during 19 years at the university.
Meritorious Service Awards also were presented to Adrian L. Adams, laboratory manager, Department of Chemistry; Mary L. Talbert-Newman, Cboard computer systems coordinator, Residence Halls Dining Service administrative office; Charles P. Tuite, operations coordinator, University Computing Services; Charles W. Scofield, facilities assignment coordinator, L. A. Pittenger Student Center Operations; and Sharon M. Martin, advancement computer programmer, Advancement Services.
