Viruses, Hoaxes and Scams
Animated Mailbox

The Office of Information Technology Security and Policy continuously monitors security and network issues affecting the University.  Although hoaxes and scams do not cause corruption to systems they can bog down the internet. The office reports cases of high volume hoaxes and scams to the community.  In addition, if a possible virus threat is detected the office will post up-to-date information on the Ball State University UCS Security and Policy website.
