Muncie is located about 50 miles northeast of Indianapolis, just off Interstate 69. The Indianapolis International Airport and Dayton (Ohio) International Airport are both about 1.5 hours away. Depending on your choice of airline schedules and fares vary between the two. Indianapolis is served both by major carriers and a collection of discount carriers, including Southwest Airlines and ATA. Flying to Cincinnati is not advised, as the airport is actually located in Northern Kentucky, almost 3 hours away.
Given Muncie's proximity to large population areas in the Midwest, driving will be a viable option for many. (The Muncie Chamber of Commerce notes that Muncie is within a 7-hour drive for over 60% of the nation's population.) Chicago is 4 hours away; Cincinnati 2.5 hours; Cleveland 5 hours; St. Louis 5 hours; Detroit 4.5 hours. Parking is available (and free) at all hotels. While on-campus parking is predictably limited, parking passes and spaces will be available. There will be a shuttle between the Hotel Roberts (Downtown) and the conference site.
