The office of Student Rights and Community Standards is responsible for administering and interpreting the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities at Ball State University. This code is designed to inform the community of the general behavioral expectations that the University has for all students.
In order to foster social and personal accountability and responsible decision making, all students are expected to read, understand and adhere to these community standards. This document also outlines the procedures that the University will use to respond to violations of these community standards.
This is a living document and will be reviewed and modified as needed to ensure fundamental fairness, to ensure student and community safety, and to maximize the opportunity for student learning. Our office welcomes input and suggestions for change from all University constituents. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions for future revisions, please contact us.
