Below are the steps for application to the graduate program in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education.
1. Complete Admission to Graduate School.
Applicants should have a minimum cumulative 2.75 undergraduate grade point average.
Please note: we do not require applicants to submit a GRE score.
2. Forward one copy of your official transcript(s) of all previous undergraduate and graduate work to the Graduate School, Ball State University, Muncie, IN 47306.
3. Email resume with the names and contact information for three (3) references to Philann Lewis.
Please email your resume including education, work history, organizations and activities, and awards or honors, and the names and contact information for three (3) professional references. Please note that we do not need letters of reference, only the names and contact information of references. Send your resume with reference information as an email attachment to Philann Lewis .
4. Complete online Application for Graduate Program in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education .
Application includes response to two essay questions, preferences for an assistantship, and Interview Day information.
If you are interested in a graduate assistantship in Housing and Residence Life as an Assistant Residence Hall Director or a Resident Manager in University Apartments, in addition to applying to the Graduate School and the SAAHE Graduate Program, you must also apply to Housing and Residence Life. The online application for Housing and Residence Life will not be available until December 1, 2008.
Review of applications begins on February 1 and continues until the class is filled.
5. Attend Interview Day on Saturday, February 21, 2009. Students who participate in Interview Day have preference for admission to the program and graduate assistantship.

NOTE: Acceptance for admission to graduate study at Ball State University does not imply official admittance into a graduate program. Students must also be admitted to the graduate program in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education. When all of an applicant's materials have been received and interviews have been conducted, the SAAHE faculty makes admission decisions. The number of offers of admission and graduate assistantships is limited. The strongest consideration is given to those candidates with strong academic achievement and rich work and/or co-curricular experience. Acceptance into the program is recommended to the Dean of the Graduate School by the program faculty.
