WELCOME

The Office of Student Rights and Community Standards is your point of contact with the University as an off-campus student. If you are a student who moved off campus after having lived in the residence halls, or if you are a traditional age commuter living at home with parents or other family or if you are a non-traditional student living off campus the SRCS Office can serve you.

The office has, as one of its functions, off-campus student services. In that capacity, office staff might be able assist you with or provide appropriate referral for many of your problems, concerns and off-campus issues. We also strive to be a source of information for you about what's happening on campus and what other services are available to you on and off campus. This website is a first step in improving your connection with campus life and communicating important information to you.

Other initiatives include the Off-Campus Connection, a newsletter just for you to be published twice a semester. It will be sent you via your BSU email address or you can view the newsletter on this website.

Finally, we intend to work very closely with the Off-campus Student Caucus of SGA and with the Non-traditional Student Association to collaborate on other programs and services. If you have ideas of better ways to serve you, contact us!

Coffeehouse for Off-Campus Students

The goal of Coffeehouse is to provide a get-together for off-campus students still needing roommates or sub-leasers for the summer and for next year.

Location: Bracken, right outside the Bookmark Cafe
Date: April 23rd (Wednesday)
Time: 6 - 8
Free coffee and treats

There will be a bulletin board where people can post their fliers for others in attendance to see the details of the roommates or sub-leasers they're looking for.  People can hang out and enjoy coffee and small treats and meet one another and possibly find a roommate or sub-leaser.
