Action, Inc. also has a childcare assistance program that assists with the cost of childcare (765)289-0944.
- Center Township 1200 E. Main Street (765)288-8876 Mon.-Fri. 7:00-5:00 -Provides assistance with current rent, 1st mortgage payments, utility bills, food, household items, prescriptions, and office calls to Open Door Clinic.
- Department of Family/Children 333 S. Madison Street (765)747-7750 Mon.-Fri. 7:30 -4:30 -Participates in the food stamp, cash assistance, and medical insurance program. Some emergency assistance is available. Please apply at the location listed above.
- Habitat for Humanity, Home Discount Store 1827 E. Memorial Drive (765)288-1814 Fri. 9:00-6:00 Sat. 9:00-3:00 -Sales inexpensive furniture, carpet, and other household improvement items at a discounted rate.
- Muncie Housing Authority 409 E First St. Telephone: (765) 288-9242 -Provides long term rental assistance, does not provide emergency assistance.
- The Salvation Army 1015 N. Wheeling (765)289-7924 -Provides energy and food assistance (see calendar). Energy assistance available Mon.-Fri. 9:00-11:00 am or until finds are gone, $75 assistance is given every six months.
