Ball State University researchers have met with considerable success over the years with a particular grant program of the National Institutes of Health—the Academic Research and Enhancement Award (NIH-AREA).  NIH-AREA funds are intended to stimulate health-related research projects in universities that provide primarily baccalaureate training to support biomedical and behavioral research.

Submission dates to the NIH-AREA are: February 25; June 25; and October 25
