New York Public Library The Schomburg Center Scholars-in-Residence Program: Supports research on black history, literature, & culture with access to resources at both the Schomburg Center as well as other New York Public Library research units. Projects must focus on the history, literature, and culture of peoples of African descent from a humanistic perspective or on other fields related to the center's collections and program activities. Pembroke Center for Teaching & Research on Women Postdoctoral Fellowships in Residence (victimization): Supports three or four postdoctoral research fellows in residence for an academic year. Fellows from the humanities, social sciences, and life sciences focus on work that is qualitative and humanistic in nature. Fellows may not hold a tenured position in any college or university.
